DevOps Discovery Day
This DevOps Discovery Day will give all interested parties the opportunity to hear a brief presentation from USPTO OCIO stakeholders, a Keynote presentation on DevOps Culture, as well as a networking opportunity to meet and greet businesses who may be interested in a teaming arrangement or subcontracting opportunity.
For information sharing purposes, participants are strongly encouraged to come prepared with a 1-3 page core capability statement that lists previous relevant work in establishing a DevOps culture, DevOps innovation, and points of contact.
The OCIO’s DevOps goals include:
- Become a Government Center of Excellence by providing quality IT products to our agency with greater speed and efficiency;
- Perform continuous integration, testing and delivery;
- Perform automated builds and infrastructure provisioning to a common set of standards that enables “Build Once, Deploy Anywhere”;
- Implement a culture that:
- Adapts rapidly to change (Agile)
- Has no fear of failure and learns from mistakes
- Embraces collaboration
Attendance and submission requirements at Discovery Day is strictly voluntary. The Government will not be liable for any costs incurred as a result of interested parties’ participation in the Discovery Day.
To register for the event, please send an email to Devops@uspto.gov and an autoreply will be sent to you with the registration form and instructions.
