2015 Open Architecture Summit

Open architecture solutions are critical for reducing program lifecycle costs, and enabling quick technology refresh and upgrades to bring the latest capabilities to the warfighter and national security team. Defense Daily’s Open Architecture Summit uniquely focuses on government efforts to implement open architecture standards and policies across the Department of Defense and other agencies, as well as commercial industry businesses.

Senior defense officials have increasingly identified the open architecture approach as critical in the acquisition of platforms, as well as combat, communication and information technology systems. In doing so, the government has asked industry to lead the way in the development and the innovation required to achieve the benefits of open architecture. An in a time of constrained budgets, experts believe open architecture standards are of even greater importance for both government and industry.
