Government Contracting Council Meeting

The meeting will begin with a presentation on the 2015 and 2016 federal budgets by Kevin Brancato, Director of Government Sales Research, Bloomberg Government. The discussion will also include an overview of the Gov Con council followed by an open roundtable discussion focusing on the industry challenges and opportunities attendees are experiencing. 

The Gov Con council is the Chamber's largest and most active council. This group alone facilitates more than 10 programs annually, and is the region's best forum for engagement with Northern Virginia's robust government contracting community.

Recognizing that the ties between the government contracting industry and other business sectors are close and solid, the Gov Con council collaborates with all Chamber councils to present dynamic and broad reaching industry programs.

Areas of focus for 2015 will be: riding the industry roller coaster; mergers and acquisitions; teaming and subcontracting; and women in government contracting.
