Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance 2015

Maritime Reconnaissance & Surveillance is the only European community event dedicated to the requirements of Maritime Domain Awareness experts around the globe, bringing together key military and industry contacts in the sector for a three-day meeting each year to discuss operational feedback, capability gaps.

With the proliferation of illicit activity in the maritime arena increasingly in the media spotlight, not least the issue of human trafficking; international coast guards, navies and government authorities are facing mounting pressure to enhance capability and enhance it fast. Maritime Reconnaissance and Surveillance comes at a pivotal time in the international maritime domain in which over 20,000 migrants have illegally crossed the Mediterranean resulting in over 1,700 deaths so far in this year alone (May, 2015).

This event will be addressing the urgent requirement to increase ISR capabilities in Europe and beyond as it moves across to London.

Join high level speakers and delegates including the US Navy and NATO Maritime Command at the Park Plaza Victoria hotel this September who will be addressing topics including:

  • New requirements for maritime patrol aircraft and multi mission systems to enhance future capability
  • Efforts including investment in UAVS and aerostats to compliment platform persistent surveillance to counter threats in both the military and civilian domain including maritime terrorism, piracy and smuggling
