Foreign Corrupt Practices Act Enforcement: Recent Developments & Trends

Northern Virginia is home to numerous major companies and organizations that engage in government contracting outside of the United States. Given the large number of multi-national corporations located—and in many instances, headquartered here— it is important for executives to understand the importance of Foreign Corrupt Practices Act (FCPA) compliance.

Join the Fairfax Chamber for a briefing focused on FCPA compliance and enforcement. Speakers from both government and the private sector will be on hand to educate business leaders about effective anti-corruption practices along with related law enforcement and regulatory efforts that affect business.

The program will include a panel discussion about recent developments and trends, enforcement priorities, and specific topics like the advantages and disadvantages of self-reporting and developing case law regarding who is considered a public official.

Attendees will participate in a dynamic discussion about the risks of doing business abroad with a focus on the government’s FCPA enforcement program.
