AFCEA Epic Speaker Serices - Intelligence for Young Professionals
Intelligence is critical to effective decision-making and nowhere with more significant ramifications for our nation than within the realm of foreign policy. In many cases it is the foundation upon which foreign policy action is undertaken. Despite the critical role of intelligence, sharing it is often fraught with considerable difficulties, from over-classification that impedes the sharing of information with partner countries and organizations to the politicization of intelligence that leads to its selective application.
Given the increasing complexity and spectrum of foreign policy challenges facing the United States, the role to be played by and the weight of responsibility placed upon the Intelligence Community is considerable. In this series of EPIC's Speaker Events, panelists will discuss the importance, challenges, and current status of the Intelligence Community's support to foreign policy development to meet national security objectives.
