Federal News Radio On DoD Online Chat: The Navy Commercial Cloud

Join Federal News Radio on March 29 at 1:30 p.m. (EDT) for a free live online chat with two Navy leaders who are charting the service’s course toward commercial cloud computing.

Susan Shuryn, the cloud computing lead in the office of the Department of the Navy Chief Information Officer and Erle Marion, the commercial hosting lead in the Navy’s Data Center and Application Office will field your questions following an appearance on Federal News Radio’s On DoD.

The Navy has taken a lead role in commercial cloud within DoD by becoming the first military service to create a commercial Cloud Access Point and by creating a “Cloud Store” for Navy customers to buy cloud products, the first version of which will come online this month.

Participation in the live online chat is free, but registration is required.

Those participating in the online text-only chat will be able to ask Shuryn and Marion their own questions in real-time.  You can also submit questions in advance by emailing Federal News Radio DoD Reporter Jared Serbu, who will moderate the chat.
