Leadership Seminar: Effective Leadership to Drive Regulatory Compliance
This seminar focuses on how leadership plays a major role in promoting public health as it ensures a utility’s regulatory compliance. There is a constant increase in the number of variables involved to provide potable drinking water, which a new and upcoming leader in the drinking water profession must learn.

Speaker and Presenter Information
Chet W. Auckly
Chet recently retired from the drinking water industry after 35 years of a stimulating and enjoyed career. His experience was quite varied: he served as a bench scientist (chemistry and microbiology), manager (laboratory, water treatment operations, and water quality), and executive manager (laboratory, water quality, and environmental affairs). He has held numerous volunteer positions in the drinking water industry: Chair of CA/NV Section AWWA, National AWWA Board of Directors, Chair Nevada Operators Certification Advisory Board, and member of the CA/NV Section AWWA Water For People Committee.
Chet has given more than 50 technical presentations in drinking water and water reclamation and is a Registered Environmental Health Specialist in California and Grade 4 Water Treatment Operator in Nevada.
Kathleen Auckly
Kathleen Auckly has more than 10 years of experience in the drinking water field as a data analyst for water rates and for water treatment, and she has managed her own tutoring business for math and sciences in the Reno area for the last 15 years. She is a graduate hydrologist from UNR. Currently, Kathleen is working with her husband Chet on several educational programs for drinking water professionals.
