Identity Protection and Management Symposium

Few doubt the critical importance of trusted identity management in our cyber-focused world.  As a nation and as individuals, we conduct our business using Internet- and increasingly, Cloud-based, services that demand reliable identity protection and management.   As a society, we bank, shop, file tax returns, manage portfolios, check health information, apply for licenses and permits, enroll in courses, book planes/trains/and automobiles—just to name a few transactions—ALL of which require authenticated identities at the user level.

So what's new for 2011?  The fact is the global threat to our national cyber infrastructure and networks, coupled with our need to rely on secure online identities has never been greater.  The convergence of these facts is driving demand for new ways of creating and managing trusted credentials—beyond the traditional government-issued licenses and ID cards.   The cyberworld will continue to stimulate mandates for more flexible, secure, and trusted credentials that can provide multiple ways of ensuring users are who they say they are—for physical and logical access to information and resources.

The Digital Government Institute is pleased to host this half-day focused program -- which is free for government professionals -- to review the significant progress made by public and private organizations who are actively addressing improved identity management and protection on a national scale.  Join the dialogue with open and frank discussion about the driving factors, current state of IDM for Federal Civilian and Defense organizations, as well as impressive strides to strengthen credentials in the commercial sector.

Plan to attend this program to build your understanding of:

  • Current and emerging mandates for Federal identity management programs
