Australian Nuclear Fuel Cycle 2016

This conference follows the publication of the final report by the Nuclear Fuel Cycle Royal Commission in South Australia. This report recommends the South Australian Government pursue the opportunity to establish spent nuclear fuel and intermediate level waste storage and disposal facilities in South Australia. The report also recommends the removal of existing legislative roadblocks to enable the development of multilateral facilities to manage spent nuclear fuel. This proposal is being evaluated at this time. A policy announcement is anticipated at the time of ANFC16.
