ExpeditionHacks - LA - Food Security & Regional Stability

The National Geospatial Intelligence Agency (NGA) drives the Operating in the Open initiative by engaging civilians, the private sector, and other government agencies by tackling common problems all sectors face.

Utilizing hackathons to drive the conversation around the country NGA in partnership with the US Geospatial intelligence Foundation (USGIF) are focusing in on food security and regional stability to highlight the driving factors and increase the innovation in risk mitigation around the world.

This hackathon will allow developers, design thinkers and those passionate about food security to help improve predicting and understanding humanitarian/military crises. Show how we might use geospatial information to better model, visualize, and monitor the nexus between food security and regional stability.
