Intel IoT Workshop for Federal Developers

Please join us for a complimentary IoT Workshop on March 21-22 at 1776 Crystal City hosted by The Intel Corporation, in conjunction with the Advanced Technology Academic Research Center. 

In this high-touch IoT workshop, attendees – through targeted hands-on exercises – will learn the robust capabilities of Intel’s IoT platform. Attendees will interact with Intel’s IoT edge and gateway devices, and explore the spectrum of Intel’s software for programing, managing and operating IoT infrastructure. 

In addition, there will be a comprehensive module covering security with Federal focus. 

In essence, attendees will discover the level of commitment that Intel is demonstrating in the IoT space, and since actions speak louder than words, the hands-on exercises will showcase Intel’s tools, partnerships and support that you can start using today.

Topics covered in this workshop will range from learning Intel’s IoT integrated ecosystem to working with IoT edge and gateways, to coding scripts that leverage MQTT protocol, to learning IoT gateway security and automation. 

In this workshop, attendees will program – with either Java Script or a similar language – and connect edge, gateway and cloud elements that make up the integrated Intel and Partner (IBM, Microsoft, Amazon) ecosystem. The ultimate goal will be to show ways to reduce the IoT development cycle.

Goals of this workshop include:

• Introducing Intel’s IoT platform
• Clearing up the IoT confusion created by the highly-fragmented IoT market
• Showing the developer ways to reduce the IoT development cycle by leveraging Intel’s tools and product portfolio

Please note: Attendees must know a scripting language that will developers to build a “hands-on” IoT system.
