2017 GSF Annual National Capital Region Reception

For our 4th Annual National Capital Region event, we are changing things up! This is an annual event that historically brings in over 300 attendees to include Congressional Staffers, USSOCOM Acquisition Experts, Defense Attachés, and Industry representatives. This year has more sponsorship opportunities and will take place at the Capital Hilton.

The follow-on evening reception will be open to anyone that registers, and typically includes representatives from over 20 foreign embassies and features a keynote speaker: ADM (Ret) William H. McRaven:

William H. McRaven is a retired United States Navy admiral, Chancellor of the University of Texas System and Author of Spec Ops and Make Your Bed.

Admiral McRaven last served as the ninth commander of the United States Special Operations Command from August 8, 2011, to August 28, 2014.

He previously served from June 13, 2008, to August 2011 as Commander, Joint Special Operations Command (JSOC) and from June 2006 to March 2008 as Commander, Special Operations Command Europe (SOCEUR). In addition to his duties as COMSOCEUR, he was designated as the first director of the NATO Special Operations Forces Coordination Centre (NSCC), where he was charged with enhancing the capabilities and inter-operability of all NATO Special Operations Forces. Admiral McRaven retired from the Navy on August 28, 2014, after more than 37 years of service
