Navy Information Dominance Industry Day 2011

Welcome to Navy Information Dominance Industry Day 2011.

AFCEA Intelligence and the Naval Intelligence Professionals were honored when VADM Jack Dorsett, USN, Deputy Chief of Naval Operations for Information Dominance and the Director of Naval Intelligence, asked us to help him put on a one-day classified conference where he and senior members of his staff addressed the challenges and opportunities associated with the Navy’s new Information Dominance Corps.  At that sold-out event on June 22, 2010, he committed to holding a follow-on event to discuss the evolving Navy Roadmaps for Information Dominance.

Arrangements for that event have now been finalized.  On March 2, 2011, AFCEA Intelligence and the Naval Intelligence Professionals will present the second Navy Information Dominance Industry Day in the Heritage Conference Center, Chantilly, VA.  The event will be classified (Secret - U.S. citizens).

During this second dialogue between the Navy and industry, VADM Dorsett and members from his team will continue the discussion about the Navy's strategy for achieving information dominance and decision superiority in greater detail.  The discussion will explore how the public and private sectors can join together to provide the necessary capabilities to achieve the Navy vision of information dominance as one of its "main batteries."

The program will be divided into five focused presentations, each followed by a question and answer period, spotlighting the Navy’s key information dominance roadmaps:  Navy Ballistic Missile Defense, Electronic Warfare, Maritime Operation Centers and Maritime Domain Awareness, Assured Communications, and Unmanned Capabilities The day will conclude with a panel discussion led by VADM Dorsett.

Attendees should leave with not only an increased understanding of operational-level detail provided in the five Roadmaps, but with a sense of what technologies and approaches are most likely to impact intelligence and national security as the Navy pursues its information dominance missions.

Come to the second Navy Information Dominance Day on March 2, 2011 and hear how the Navy is achieving information dominance and what it needs from industry to execute five of its principal roadmaps.
