SmallSat & Space Access Summit

The 2018 SmallSat & Space Access Summit encourages members of the DoD, Intelligence Community, military services, and critical organizations to come together to discuss solutions and techniques to exploit the space domain. The application of small satellites is transforming space exploration and allowing the US Government and critical partners to gain vital intelligence. This year’s summit will highlight the technology currently underway and the challenges that exist in enhancing space access and employing smallsats to ensure space superiority.

This educational summit will bring together senior Intelligence officials, military leaders, academia, and solution providers to discuss the developing technology, infrastructure, and policy surrounding the application of small spacecraft technology into the plan to dominate the space domain.

As the space domain becomes increasingly contested and congested with competing adversaries, it is of utmost importance that the United States remain superior by advancing technology and incorporating low-cost flexible smallsats into orbits as auxiliary payloads. In order to do this effectively, the US Government must partner with the private sector to design smallsats which deliver diverse and advanced capabilities at a fraction of the cost of legacy satellite systems.

DSI’s team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Summits’ content and focus areas. We seek to bring together the respected leaders from US military commands, leading research centers, government agencies, and industry technology providers. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all services and organizations to bring together a truly holistic group of decision makers and solution providers.
