MCOLES Certified-Use of 302 Funds approved for Michigan law enforcement agencies.

The OpTac International Tactical Team Policy and Organization Program, hosted by the Washtenaw Community College Police Academy, will be held June 24-26, 2019 in Ann Arbor, Michigan.

This program provides commanders, administrators, team leaders, and tactical team personnel with contemporary guidelines for the development of tactical team policy and procedures along with strategies for optimal team organization. Critical elements of SWAT policy and procedures to be presented emphasize: organization, standards, documentation, liability, legal concerns, officer safety, and effective team deployment.

Interactive classes also include: creating a SWAT training matrix, strategies for optimal team performance, media relations, integration of snipers and entry team personnel, and managing multi-jurisdiction teams and multi-team operations. Attendees are encouraged to discuss specific issues affecting their agency to attain practical solutions.

All attendees receive a sample OpTac International Policy and Procedure Manual that is easily adaptable to individual law enforcement agencies. The cost to attend the OpTac International Tactical Team Policy and Organization Program is $599 per person.
