Introduction to the Defense Federal Acquisition Regulation Supplement (DFARS) and Procedures, Guidance, and Information (PGI)

The DFARS provides Department of Defense (DoD) implementation and supplementation of the Federal Acquisition Regulation (FAR).  The DFARS contains requirements of the law, DoD-wide policies, delegations of FAR authorities, deviations from FAR requirements, and policies/procedures that have a significant effect on the public.

Relevant procedures, guidance, and information that do not meet the criteria for inclusion in the DFARS are issued in the DFARS companion resource, PGI. Unclassified, non-confidential memoranda, guidance, and other DPAP procurement-related policy documents can be found in the appropriate PGI subpart.

Introduction to DFARS/PGI is a one-day course and logical follow-on to Centre’s one-day Introduction to the Federal Acquisition Regulation.  DoD spends more procurement dollars than any Federal entity and has a robust acquisition regulatory system.  If you are engaged in or considering entering the DoD Marketplace, this course is ideal to introduce you to the more significant requirements of DFARS/PGI.
