Accessible and Engaging Experiences for All Users

Adobe Acrobat Document Cloud (DC) provides strong accessibility support for documents and forms, with a number of built-in accommodations for users with disabilities, as well as support for users of assistive technologies.

This on-demand webcast provides the basic skills necessary to create an accessible PDF. This session will explore a variety of accessibility best practices, for novices and experts alike, to ensure 508 Compliance on all documents for citizens and employees.

Specifically, this session will provide a summary of why it is important to have accessible source documents, and will include an overview of the following features, tools, and capabilities:
  • Accessible Guided Action: assists in automating tasks, checks accessibility, and provides instructions for items that require manual fixes so you can quickly find and fix problem areas
  • Accessibility Checker: verifies whether the document conforms to accessibility standards, such as PDF/UA and WCAG 2.0
  • Accessibility Report: summarizes findings of the accessibility check with links to tools and documentation that assist in fixing problems
  • Create PDFs: convert a Microsoft Office or scanned document into an accessible PDF and remediate some of the most common tagging issues
