Accessible and Engaging Experiences for All Users
Adobe Acrobat Document Cloud (DC) provides strong accessibility support for documents and forms, with a number of built-in accommodations for users with disabilities, as well as support for users of assistive technologies.
This on-demand webcast provides the basic skills necessary to create an accessible PDF. This session will explore a variety of accessibility best practices, for novices and experts alike, to ensure 508 Compliance on all documents for citizens and employees.
Specifically, this session will provide a summary of why it is important to have accessible source documents, and will include an overview of the following features, tools, and capabilities:
- Accessible Guided Action: assists in automating tasks, checks accessibility, and provides instructions for items that require manual fixes so you can quickly find and fix problem areas
- Accessibility Checker: verifies whether the document conforms to accessibility standards, such as PDF/UA and WCAG 2.0
- Accessibility Report: summarizes findings of the accessibility check with links to tools and documentation that assist in fixing problems
- Create PDFs: convert a Microsoft Office or scanned document into an accessible PDF and remediate some of the most common tagging issues
