Workforce Development and the DoD-Industry Talent Exchange

Join PSC in a roundtable discussion with Mr. José Gonzalez, Director of Human Capital Initiatives for the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition and Sustainment, regarding the Public-Private Talent Exchange (PPTE) Program. Several PSC member companies participated in its initial pilot earlier this year. The Department of Defense is expanding its target areas geographically and is seeking participants in areas where their acquisition workforce is concentrated across the United States. Additionally, two 2019 PPTE participants will discuss their experience and the benefits of the program.

This session will cover the following:
* Lessons learned from the first pilot program
* Benefits for companies that commit to this talent development initiative
* Positions and opportunities available in the next pilot program
* How companies can participate

The six month acquisition exchange program targets high-performing, mid-career civilians with demonstrated leadership potential and exchanging talent with contractor professionals at equivalent points in their careers. The next cohort of exchange participants will commence in January 2020. For more information, go to the PPTE homepage
