The 3rd Annual Virtual Conference on Cloud Computing will be hosted online from April 18 - 22, 2011.  It is global event, covering latest trends and innovations in the world of cloud computing.  Conference panels, workshops, and tutorials are selected to cover a range of the hottest topics in cloud computing.

Overview

CloudSlam’11® conference is the premier cloud computing event, covering latest trends and innovations in the world of cloud computing. Conference panels, workshops, and tutorials are selected to cover a range of the hottest topics in cloud computing.

Cloud for Business Computing

This track covers applications for use across business and industry areas to help increase knowledge of what is possible from sales and marketing, customer and contact centers, supply chain of product and services, financials, human resources to specific areas across business including analytics, business intelligence, business process management, location intelligence, operational intelligence, information and data to business focused collaboration.

Technology & Innovation

This track covers the latest technological advances shaping the future of Cloud Computing. Key areas covered include; Unified Communications in the Cloud, Cloud Integration, The Social Cloud, Cloud 2.0, Application Delivery, Private cloud / Public cloud, Greener Data Centers, High Performance Computing, Cloud Storage, Cloud Mobile, Hardware/Equipment, Business Process as a Service, Platform as a Service, Virtualization, Software as a Service, Cloud Monitoring, Infrastructure as a Service, and other aspects.

Cloud For Public Sector/E-Government

This track will cover public sector cloud initiatives, ranging from U.S, UK, European Union and other government initiatives to move to the cloud. Specific topics will include: government’s use of cloud computing (private cloud, public cloud, hybrids); policy implications in moving to the cloud; security and privacy requirements for government use of external cloud resources; and success stories and lessons learned in Infrastructure As A Service, Platform As A Service and Software As A Service examples. In addition, there will be presentations on Open Government, Crowd Sourcing, and Government Transparency Initiatives tied to cloud computing.

Industry Implementation Insights

Learn about experiences transitioning traditional IT resources into the cloud, efforts to use the cloud to support business processes that are presently supported by traditional IT. Usage/ industry focus such as application to and lessons learned from use in Public & Government sectors, institutional and / or retail financial businesses, life sciences, manufacturing, retail, medicine, pharmaceutical, etc.

Best Practices

This track discusses real world experiences, applied thought leadership propositions realizing best practices from business owner perspective.

- What is personal information? What is privacy?
- Where is the personal data stored, What laws apply to the data in question.
- How can data become secure?
- Who owns the data?
- Who is the data shared with? Under what terms?
- Are there data breach disclosure requirements in place?

Developer Track

This Track will showcase how to effectively and efficiently get typically on premise, business critical applications into the cloud. Increasingly more and more end-users are turning towards an on-demand based approach to accessing and utilizing their business applications. See how and why leading Software vendors are rushing to the join Cloud band wagon and make their offerings available as a service. Learn more about which PaaS strategies make most business sense providing for an elastic, scalable and reliable application hosting environments.

Research & Findings

Looks at new ways in which Cloud is streamlining Research and driving next generational IT evolution. We will learn how this particularly applies to Life sciences, pharmaceutical and drug discovery industries and how other verticals can realize the benefits of unlimited scalability.
