AFLCMC Industry Day

The ACC/A5JG BACN WST and the AFLCMC/HNAB Program Manager, Battlefield Airborne Communications Node (BACN) will be hosting an Industry Day at the MITRE Corporation building, 903 Enterprise Parkway Suite 200, Hampton, VA for companies selected based on their capabilities and justifications. The Industry Day will be held on 22 October 2019 from 8:00am to 5:00pm Eastern Time. Check-in will begin at 07:30 am. The purpose of this Industry Day is to solicit information on possible enhancements to the current BACN payload capability with the focus on greater interoperability and enhanced communications.

The BACN system is a deployed capability operating 24/7 orbits in multiple areas of operation. Currently, the BACN system consists of BACN payload systems integrated onto Bombardier E-11A BD-700 aircraft, and EQ-4B Global Hawk aircraft.

AFLCMC/HNAB is assisting in holding the Industry Day in conjunction with the BACN Requirements Working Group to discuss the available technological advancements to the existing airborne communications gateway program. The Industry Day will focus on the technologies and systems available to upgrade the BACN fleet; specifically, communications and interoperability enhancements.
