2010 National Laboratories Information Technology Summit

This year's National Laboratories Information Technology (NLIT) Summit, hosted by Brookhaven National Laboratory, will take place at the Hyatt Regency Long Island at Wind Watch Golf Club, May 23 through May 26, 2010 with exhibit days May 23-25.

The 2010 NLIT Summit brings together representatives from across the U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) complex to facilitate an exchange of information technology (IT) best practices and ideas. Each year, the conference averages 300 to 350 attendees from the DOE Laboratories around the country. This NLIT Summit will have the strongest participation from the host lab, Brookhaven National Laboratory.

The past NLIT Summits have had participation from all the DOE Laboratories including the following personnel: IT Infrastructure Managers, IT Security Managers, IT Architects, Cyber Security Analysts, Program Managers, Unix Systems Administrators, Computer Systems Engineers, Network Engineers and Chief Information Officers.

The 2010 NLIT Summit will consist of presentations, panel discussions, new equipment and technology demonstrations, and information sharing on topics applicable to all DOE National Laboratories. Presentations will be provided by the numerous DOE Laboratories and Industry Sponsors. This information exchange helps strengthen the IT infrastructure and provides cost efficiencies across the DOE National Laboratories by preventing the reinvention of solutions to similar problems.

Sharing of new technologies across multiple IT disciplines fosters relationships that will be key in future research and application development. The success of the DOE mission relies on the ability to conduct research, share data, and collaborate with personnel from other laboratories.

There is no conference fee for DOE Personnel and U.S. Government employees. Industry may NOT attend unless participating as a Summit Sponsor. Various sponsorship opportunities are available. For more information on the sponsorship opportunities, please contact your FBC Sales Representative.
