Is the right to privacy a human right? Is it a political issue? Is privacy a cultural issue? Privacy, in its most basic definition, is the ability to keep one’s belongings, ideas, information, and/or intentions to one’s self. 

The 1st Global Conference on Privacy and Ethics intends to explore the issues surrounding the legal, ethical, and social aspects of privacy. Please refer to the following themes in relation to this conference. We will accept abstracts on any related aspect of this research study area.

Global Research Studies wishes to explore the following themes in relation to Privacy and Ethics.

  • Privacy in the Home
  • Political
  • Public Life – Entertainers and Privacy Rights
  • Privacy Policies and the Internet
  • Wire-Tapping and Governmental “Invasions” of Privacy
  • Medical Privacy
  • Privacy Education
  • Taxation and Privacy
  • Physical Privacy – Dwellings
  • Trespassing, Stalking, and Identity Theft
  • Religion, Spiritual, and Privacy of Beliefs
  • Civil Liberties
  • Solitude

These areas are the basic areas that we are seeking to conduct research, but will consider other areas of exploration for this or additional research groups for the future.

To begin research in any of these areas, submit your 200-400 word abstract to admin@globalresearchstudies.com and use Privacy 2011 as your subject line. Please see our abstract submission guidelines when preparing your abstract.

Submission of your abstract shows intent to attend the upcoming conference where you will share your ideas about this study with others that are too conducting related studies in the areas mentioned above. Once your abstract is received, reviewed and accepted, you will be sent a formal invitation to participate in the upcoming conference.
