Migration OpenHack

THIS EVENT HAS BEEN CANCELED

To protect the health and safety of attendees, this event has been canceled due to COVID-19 concerns.

The Migration OpenHack is a 3-day experience where attendees will migratemodernize, and optimize existing on-premises applications as they move to Microsoft Azure. This OpenHack simulates a real-world scenario, where a customer has multiple line-of-business applications that are used by both customers and internal employees.

While each migration is different, attendees of this OpenHack will gain the knowledge necessary to perform migrations of applications and VMs to Azure, modernize applications by transitioning from IaaS to PaaS services, and how to operate workloads in the cloud with monitoring and security implemented. During this OpenHack you will have the opportunity to:

•   Hack on challenges designed to leave you with the skills and expertise needed to build out a technical solution that has all applications and virtual machines (all workloads) fully hosted on the Azure cloud
•   Network with your peers and Microsoft
•   Receive TSI credit for challenge-based learning (Microsoft employees only)

Prerequisites

To be successful and maximize the value of OpenHack, a basic understanding of the benefits of adopting Migration practices as well as Containers knowledge would be beneficial.

Be prepared to roll up your sleeves, learn, and participate in an interactive team environment. OpenHacks are invite only and space is limited. All registrants will be put on an initial waitlist while we assess your registration profile. Once your registration is confirmed, we will follow up with additional details.

We look forward to seeing you at the event!
