Federal Insights Exchange Session Featuring NOAA

This event qualifies for 1 CLPs

As the largest bureau in the Department of Commerce, the National Oceanographic and Atmospheric Administration (NOAA) Acquisition and Grants Office (AGO) executes just over $3B annually in contracts and financial assistance grants to support of NOAA’s missions.

AGO has two major strategic sourcing acquisition programs, the NOAA Mission Information Technology Services (NMITS) contract program for IT services and the Professional, Scientific, and Technical Services Program (ProTech).  These programs allow AGO to satisfy NOAA Client needs easier and faster, and improve partnerships with commercial industry.

Conceived in 2013, ProTech has a suite of multiple-award Indefinite Delivery/Indefinite Quantity contracts organized into four “Domains” that align with the following missions:

  • Satellite Domain,  supporting the National Environmental, Satellite, Data and Information Service
  • Fisheries Domain, supporting the National Marine Fisheries Service
  • Oceans Domain, supporting the National Oceans Service
  • Weather Domain, supporting the National Weather Service

The ProTech Program includes a Program Management Office with dedicated Domain Account Managers to assist NOAA clients with acquisition efforts to include planning, innovation, process streamlining, requirements development, market research, independent government cost estimate development, industry outreach and education, and developing relationships with ProTech prime awardees.  The ProTech program has its own public-facing website, which focuses on transparency and collaboration with our industry partners.
