Aligning Mission's Need with Geospatial Acquisition Technologies: The New Hybrid Product Approach

The continuing decline in funds for government agencies poses a great challenge to these agencies to finance their new missions or maintain existing ones. With funds drying out, many agencies are looking for creative ways to move forward with their projects. We believe that our client resilience is an important part of our existence and our business growth, so we got our hands dirty looking for creative ways to enable our clients to achieve their goals under a strict budget. As capabilities of geospatial data acquisition technologies get refined with time, it enables more products from different sensors to relate to each other in terms of data quality and accuracy, making it easier for project managers and engineers to seamlessly integrate different data sources into their projects. You may know the term Data Fusion, but it is most likely in the general sense when people try to combine available data together. Such data fusion practice was only practiced as a reaction to an immediate need or to incidental data finding. Here we are talking about different data fusion. It is about the early stage thinking during the project planning phase. It is about a proactive adaptation of data evaluation strategy to stand on the synergy that exists between different sources of data and to make the findings of such evaluation the pillar for project design and cost estimation. This webinar focuses on introducing the new hybrid approach in fusing data from different acquisition sensors (aerial lidar, drones, and mobile mapping lidar) to generate a seamless new geospatial product supported by few case studies.

Training Goals:

1. Bring awareness on current geospatial mapping technologies and sensors

2. Demonstrate creative ideas and solutions for intelligence professionals on fusing data from different sources to create a more affordable and more informative dataset.

3. Strengthen the professional development of members of intelligence agencies

Prerequisites:

• No prior experience with geospatial mapping techniques is needed
