Health At Home: Today More Than Ever.

The number of people spending their time in and out of hospitals or moving to longer-term living and care facilities has continued to increase over time. Digital and home-based care innovations have remained in the “pilot” phase and have been limited to one event or singular disease point solutions. This stark difference between consumer need and industry performance is overdue for disruption. Enter COVID-19. The pandemic’s disruption of our facility-based healthcare system has finally accelerated our ability to make care available to people exactly where they want it. The pandemic has accelerated widespread telehealth adoption and use, and coupled with existing healthcare consumerization trends, offers continued promise of virtual care growth and care delivery transformation.

Incorporating healthcare into the home by way of technology will not only change the way care is delivered to the patient, but will also enable a natural extension of care to include more integrated services, Social Determinants of Health (SDOH) support, on-demand clinical care delivery and more, challenging the traditional care model to become more cohesive. Best Buy Health’s Bryan Adams, Chief Commercial Officer, and Stefani Benefield, Senior Vice President, will discuss how technology combined with the perfect level of human touch can help virtually supported home care reach its fullest potential. Bringing healthcare into the home is the ultimate form of healthcare consumerization – and as leaders in the home-based consumer technology space, Best Buy Health is uniquely positioned to make care a more natural part of our lives.
