Counter Terror Expo US to Debut in Spring 2012

 

Inaugural expo and conference brings together our nation’s complete counter-terror community to collaborate toward a common goal, protecting our country against terror threats

 

ARLINGTON, VA – June 29, 2011 – The inaugural Counter Terror Expo US will debut May 16-17, 2012 at the Walter E. Washington Convention Center in our nation’s capital, Washington, DC. This first-of-its-kind expo and conference will bring together our nation’s complete counter-terror community – including federal and state agencies, Department of Defense (DoD), police and first responders along with those responsible for securing the nation’s vital infrastructure in both the private and public sector– to bolster collaboration in counter-terror efforts.

 Counter Terror Expo US will gather more than 150 internationally recognized experts to debate the issues we face, define operational strategies and to help shape future policy. The event will address some of the most important topics impacting the security world including cyber security and electronic terrorism, emergency services, global counter-terrorism and critical national infrastructure protection.

 Counter Terror Expo US is expected to debut with over 50,000 square feet of exhibit space and more than 200 US and international exhibitors ranging from security and technology companies to emergency response providers. The inaugural event is targeting a broad range of attendees including decision makers within the US Armed Forces, state and local governments, and law enforcement as well as private sector security professionals representing a diverse base of industries critical to ensuring national security.

 The first Counter Terror Expo took place in London in 2008, and since then has grown exponentially to become the world’s largest specialist Counter Terror event with over 7,500 attendees coming from around the world to meet almost 400 exhibitors, many of whom have already welcomed the inaugural US edition.  

 Several world-leading companies including FLIR Systems, a world leader in the design, manufacture, and marketing of sensor systems that enhance perception and awareness, have already signed on as sponsors.
