Ransomware attacks remain the top cyber-enabled crime seen by law enforcement agencies with the threat becoming increasingly targeted at cities, educational institutions, healthcare organizations, and extending to smart cities and devices. Ransomware attacks have multiplied dramatically since the beginning of 2020, accounting for a third of all recorded attacks in the past 12 months.
Cyber criminals are stepping up their game by exploiting fear and uncertainty during the pandemic by launching a steadily increasing amount of cyberattacks. Remote work may also be increasing the risk of successful ransomware attacks due to weaker controls at home and a higher likelihood of users clicking on COVID-19 themed ransomware lure emails.
This webinar will explore the rise in sophisticated ransomware and systematic approaches organizations can take to stall the trend.
