AFCEA Bethesda June Breakfast Webinar

Next Steps: Leveraging Data as a Strategic Asset

The COVID-19 pandemic has shown that the government must be positioned to anticipate and prevent problems rather than just react to them. A comprehensive and secure data strategy has been instrumental in helping agencies to spur innovation, deliver on their mission, and better serve the public. Throughout 2020, agencies implemented Federal Data Strategy action plans with a focus on data governance, infrastructure, and the workforce. Security concerns, data quality, deployment and scaling issues, as well as data siloes, if not properly addressed, will continue to hamper agencies efforts to leverage data for analysis and decision making.

During this webinar, government IT decision makers will address the next steps agencies need to take to unlock the power of data and remain proactive and ready for future challenges. Going forward, agencies will need to advance data skills training for their entire workforce and strengthen and mature data management strategies. At the same time, data managers must optimize and streamline data collection and storage and unlock legacy data to maximize data-driven decision making. Automated tools will be integral to help agencies fully identify and catalog government data to ensure the quality of data is reliable for those who use it to make decisions.

Join AFCEA Bethesda on June 15, 2021 as experts examine the processes, technologies, and strategies that should be in place to help agencies not just manage data but master and leverage it as a strategic asset.
