Program Description In this free one-hour webinar, you will learn about analytics in Tableau and creating visualizations of risk. Charlie Bame-Aldred and William Goldman of Hub AE and James Lenihan of Tableau Software will share basic approaches of how and when to use analytics. View series page here > 

 

Learning objective: This course seeks to improve a user’s ability to identify risk by utilizing Tableau’s ability to import, process, analyze, and visualize data. In this course, instructors will show how to:

  • Create new dimension and measure variables
  • Integrate Microsoft Excel into Tableau usage
  • Create Tableau Visualizations to identify slow paying customers and customer payment history
  • Create Tableau Visualizations to examine customer credit limits and credits limit approvals

Program Level: Basic. This course teaches fundamental principles or skills to participants having no prior exposure to the subject area.


Prerequisites: Users are expected, but not required to have some experience in risk analysis and familiarity with spreadsheets. Participants who view the first course "Finance Analytics CPE Course One - Data Basics" before the second webinar will be able to follow along more easily than those who haven't, but watching the first webinar isn't necessary for understanding the materials in the second webinar.


Advance preparation: There is no prerequisite education, experience, or advanced preparation required to attend, understand, and successfully complete these programs. All content has been designed to enable anyone, regardless of their skills or training, to follow along as instructors show the analytics software. Following along on your own version of Tableau Desktop is optional. If viewers do wish to follow along, they can download a free 14-day trial from: https://www.tableau.com/support/releases/desktop/


Recommended CPE Credits: Participants will earn 1.0 CPE credit. In order to be awarded the credit, you must respond to three out of the four polling questions asked during the program. Partial credit will not be awarded.


Recommended Field of Study: Computer Software & App field of study.
