FIE Session Featuring Department Of Veterans Affairs - Leveraging Data To Aid In Suicide Prevention Among Veterans

This event qualifies for 1 CLPs

Suicide prevention and mental health among Veterans is an important topic to address, especially during a pandemic, where everyone is having to isolate themselves to control the spread. Predictive analytics and other data management and analysis tools are being leveraged to help identify at-risk Veterans and implement interventions before a mental health crisis occurs. This panel discussion will focus on:

  • What is currently being done across VA about their data and analysis methods to predict suicide
  • How it is working so far; where are there areas for improvement; what kinds of data are helping to predict Veteran suicide
  • How has the pandemic impacted Veteran suicide; and,
  • What are near-term and long-term goals of leveraging analytics to better the mental health of our nation’s Veterans

This event is open to the Federal IT community.  We also welcome members of the federal contracting community who are not currently ACT-IAC members.
