Red Hat Coffee Hour with Joseph Gordon-Levitt

The Red Hat® Coffee Hour series is a bi-weekly videocast featuring luminaries from technology, society and the world of STEM. Topics for discussion will include governmental and societal impacts of technology, open source in Sci/Tech/Med., as well as the role of technology and work/life balance.

Joseph Gordon-Levitt, Emmy Award winning actor and star of movies like “The Chicago Seven”, “Looper”, “Inception” & “Snowden”, is on a journey to change the way the world creates. Using open source principals, Joseph has pioneered a new community called “Hit Record”, which brings together writers, singers, photographers and often - just everyday people, to collaborate on content in a completely virtual working space. As experimental as it is inspirational, Joseph’s project seeks to extract the genius from each one of us, by leveraging an inclusive, open culture.

Adam Clater, Chief Architect at Red Hat and Joseph will talk about what it takes to build these communities, his philosophy on open leadership and the impact communities can have on the world around us.
