Red Hat Coffee Hour with Sir Tim Berners-Lee
The Red Hat® Coffee Hour series is a bi-weekly videocast featuring luminaries from technology, society and the world of STEM. Topics for discussion will include governmental and societal impacts of technology, open source in Sci/Tech/Med., as well as the role of technology and work/life balance.
As the inventor of the World Wide Web, Tim Berners-Lee has a unique perspective on the evolution of technology and the use of the internet in our day to day lives. Adam Clater, Chief Architect at Red Hat and Sir. Berners-Lee will discuss the innovation that led to the web, the importance of open source and communities in its evolution. We will also discuss the Solid Project, and the need for individuals to have control over their data, as well as which applications and services may have access to it.
