Today, there is a current peace among the nation states in Central & South America, however along with this nation-state peace there time is a growing civil unrest in Latin America lead by drug cartels and drug traffickers. The drug economy throughout the region is leading to the increased need to modernize law enforcement & military vehicles to successful attack drug operations and guerilla units. However, to successfully meet the evolving threats in Latin America, new vehicles are needed to protect against the IED threat in the Latin American being used by drug leaders. The current vehicle fleet is old and unreliable and Latin American Nations are looking too new types of vehicles to increase survivability against IEDs and are maneuverable enough for guerrilla/law enforcement operations.
