Digital Forensics for National Security Symposium

DSI’s 2nd Annual Digital Forensics for National Security Symposium will once again bring together members of the Federal Government Agencies, DoD, US Military Services, & Industry in a ‘town-hall’ style forum to examine how advances in Digital Forensics, sometimes called ‘Computer Forensics’, are transforming the way investigations into digital crimes, attacks, and intrusions at the national, state, and local levels are being conducted.

Topics to be Covered:

- Delivering superior forensics & cyber technical training at the DC3 in support of law enforcement, counterintelligence, & counterterrorism efforts
- Cybersecurity Metrics & Forensics at NSA: Analysis as a Basic for Imposing Costs
- Leading DoD’s Efforts to Create a Technology Advantage by Mitigating Vulnerabilities & Exploiting the Critical Missions/Technologies of Determined Adversaries
- Applying digital forensics to assist with identifying, exploiting, & neutralizing criminal, terrorist, & intelligence threats in multiple domains
- Detailing critical breakthroughs in digital forensics engineering & cyber defense at the NSA
- Fielding the most innovative digital forensics tools to assist Soldiers in seeing the cyber battlefield
- Fielding the most innovative digital forensics tools to assist Soldiers in seeing the cyber battlefield
- Providing forensic tools/capabilities to assist government & law enforcement partners in accessing, analyzing, & managing digital data
- Evaluating the digital forensics community’s capacity to conduct mobile & computer-based investigations

Why You Should Attend This Year's Symposium
The digital forensics market was valued at USD 4170.0 million in 2019 and it is expected to reach USD 7410.9 million by 2025. The growth of advanced technologies, outbreak of COVID-19 & the rapid increase in the number of mobiles, computers, and other electronic devices across the globe is contributing to the demand for digital forensics. The Digital Forensics for National Security Symposium will bring together members of the Federal Government Agencies, DoD, US Military Services, Academia, & Industry in a ‘town-hall’ type forum to discuss how Digital Forensics, sometimes called ‘Computer Forensics’, are transforming the way investigations into digital crimes, attacks, and intrusions at the national, state, and local levels are being conducted. Senior level speakers at this event will discuss how these forensic software tools & technologies are helping in identifying, maintaining, and analyzing digital evidence in a more efficient manner. This Symposium will detail how current innovations in mobile and network forensic toolkits have aided in exploiting & neutralizing criminal/terrorist threats in multiple domains, as well as have enhanced the ability to recover & preserve data.

Digital forensic methods are assisting all levels of government in extracting key information such as the sources of cyber breaches and other actionable intelligence. The sophistication of digital crimes has continued to change and this has increased the need across all levels of law enforcement/government for increased cyber technical training; as well as shown how important it is to develop highly trained analysts, that can delve into the growing threat that digital media presents. Attendees at this event will have the chance to hear briefs from senior level delegates that provide a deep dive into current/future collaborative efforts to develop & field new ways to combat digital attacks and ultimately, improve the defensive cyber capabilities of federal law enforcement & our nation’s Warfighters. This Symposium will also detail critical breakthroughs in digital forensics engineering not only across federal agencies & military services, but industry as well.

DSI’s team specializes in the extensive research and development of our Summits' content and focus areas. We assemble the most respected minds in the manufacturing and acquisition communities, as well as the key policymakers across military and civilian offices. Our non-partisan approach allows us to reach across all services and organizations to bring together a truly holistic group of decision makers and solution providers.

At Our Symposium You Will Have the Ability to:

Gain Education & Insight: Walk away with knowledge gained from our senior level speakers on some of the complex challenges facing our Digital Forensics Community.

Build Partnerships: The agenda is designed to allow for ample networking opportunities and the ability to engage in constructive dialogue among all in attendance.

Influence: Help foster ideas. Share your own insight and knowledge during our interactive sessions. All attendees are encouraged to address our speaker faculty and each other with their questions, comments or ideas.
