Agile (Scrum) Workshop

The NDIA C4ISR Division is sponsoring a unique workshop to help DoD acquisition personnel build awareness of, and experience in person, some of the methods and principles of iterative, agile development methods. Such methods have been in limited use in the DoD for almost 10 years, but recent changes in direction in guidance for IT system acquisition are raising awareness of the potential for different acquisition and development methods.

To help acquisition personnel better understand the implications of these methods, we are hosting a "leading by example" type of workshop, wherein the participants will bring their questions and perceptions about agile methods to the workshop, and will then go through various simulations of typical agile activities as a way to learn experientially and to work together to find solutions to some of the problems that they identify at the beginning of the workshop.
