Common Synthetic Training Environment (CSTE) Industry Day
Currently fielded simulator systems and networks are often federated and do not support performance needs for high-end, multi-domain training. In addition, current tech cycle timelines are untenable, and are often outpaced by adversary capabilities.
In order to address these shortfalls, the US Air Force Operational Test and Training Infrastructure (OTTI) community is pursuing development of the Common Synthetic Training Environment (CSTE). This environment will apply modern tools and best-known practices to build an evolutionary ecosystem that that can react to emerging threats and provide relevant and timely training to warfighters. The US Government will establish an industry consortium to accomplish these objectives.
During the Industry Day event, the AFLCMC/XA CSTE team will deliver an overview briefing covering the vision, technical challenges, and business approach for CSTE. Interested vendors will have an opportunity to attend a 15-minute one-on-one meetings.
