26th Annual FISSEA Expo



Event Description
The 26th Annual Federal Information Systems Security Educators' Association (FISSEA) Conference will be held at the National Institute of Standards and Technology on March 19-21, 2013, exhibits will be on display March 19 only.

This year's theme, "Making Connections in Cybersecurity and Information Security Education" will focus on security training on a budget, current cybersecurity projects, emerging trends and initiatives. Through numerous high quality sessions, approximately 200 attendees will learn new ways to improve their IT security program and practical solutions to training problems while earning Continuing Professional Education (CPE) credits. The vendor fair gives attendees a tactical look at the products and services available to meet their professional goals.

Attendee Background
Conference attendees include 200 information systems security professionals, trainers, developers, educators, managers, CIOs, academia, and researchers involved with information systems security awareness, training, education, certification, and professionalism.

Last year's attendee list included individuals from: DoD, USDA, FDA, DISA, GAO, NOAA, Census, NRC, SSA, IRS, NIH, EPA, DOJ, Treasury, VA, SBA, DHS, NIST and HUD. In addition to the conference attendees, the expo will be open to all NIST employees.

About FISSEA
FISSEA, founded in 1987, is an organization run by and for federal information systems security professionals. FISSEA assists federal agencies in meeting their computer security training responsibilities. The FISSEA organization runs monthly executive board meetings, has workshops approximately 4 times a year, and organizes this conference annually.
