Modernizing Legacy JEE Applications
Traditional JEE applications have served organizations well over the past two decades. However, they were built with fundamental assumptions that no longer hold true in the world of cloud computing.
More specifically, these applications were built on the idea of static infrastructure and fixed assumptions around the workload capacity and even security. Increasingly, cloud architectures have become more dynamic leaving these legacy JEE workloads constrained to legacy infrastructure. Organizations want to modernize these applications but are weary of doing a from-the-ground-up rewrite which is often expensive and risky. Organizations need an incremental path with existing code bases.
This webcast will cover some of the technical areas in which cloud computing has broken these applications and what knobs we can turn in Kubernetes to make these applications first-class citizens on a modern application platform.
