Industry Day/Webinar for Supplemental Projects in Puerto Rico
The Government is planning a Webinar/Industry Day to provide an update for the upcoming Supplemental Puerto Rico civil works construction projects. The projects are located throughout Puerto Rico. This is not a solicitation for proposals and no contract shall be awarded from this notice.

PROJECTS TO BE DISCUSSED ARE:
Rio Puerto Nuevo
The authorized project will provide protection to 7,000 residential structures, 800 commercial and public structures, 1.5 square miles of major port facilities, recreation facilities, government offices, a major electrical power plant, and several wastewater/water treatment facilities in the metro area of San Juan, Puerto Rico. The proposed improvements will consist of 1.7 miles of earth lined channels, 9.5 miles of concrete lined channels, 1 debris basin, 2 stilling basins, 23 new, replaced, or modified bridges, replacement of 19 bridges, an upland dredge disposal area, sewer line modifications and replacements, recreational features, and mitigation for the loss of environmental habitats.
Rio de La Plata
The authorized project will provide protection to the towns of Dorado, Toa Baja, Toa Alta, Levittown, and the communities of Mameyal, Ingenio, Campanilla and San Jose. The plan of improvement includes construction of 7.0 miles of channel improvements, 7.6 miles of levees, scour protection of 3 bridges, recreation facilities and mitigation for the loss of environmental habitats.
Rio Grande de Arecibo
The authorized project provides flood risk reduction for a 100-year flood event for the municipality of Arecibo and Los Caños area due to overflows from Rio Grande de Arecibo, Rio Tanama, and Rio Santiago. The recommended improvements include combination of two floodwalls and approximately 2 miles of levees along the Arecibo River; approximately 2 miles of channel improvements and three bridge replacements along Santiago River; and mitigation for the loss of environmental habitats.
