Actively Caring for People: Seven Principles for Criminal Justice Organizations



Actively Caring for People is a process founded by Dr. E. Scott Geller, Distinguished Professor from Virginia Tech. The process is based on a proven behavior model which serves to enhance civility in both community and organizational settings. First responders will learn the importance of the seven principles that can drastically transform the overall climate of an organization and a community.

Speaker and Presenter Information

Bobby Kipper is the executive director and founder of the National Center for the Prevention of Community Violence. He is a Wall Street Journal and USA Today Bestselling author with over four decades of experience in both the public and private sector.  Bobby’s journey began with a successful twenty-six-year career with the Newport News Virginia Police Department.  Following his local law enforcement service, he served as the Director of the Gang Reduction Program for the Office of the Attorney General of Virginia for 4 years.  In addition, he served as a school safety and discipline specialist with the Virginia Department of Education for 4 years. He went on to start a successful national consulting company focusing on training and technical assistance for both public and private industry.
