Pillars of Modernization

This event qualifies for 4 CPEs

Federal agencies big and small are pursuing IT modernization to improve operational efficiency, digitize customer experiences, and fundamentally transform the way government works. These undertakings are massive and the complexity of implementation goes beyond the tech infrastructure itself. Policy, legal, budget, and workforce constraints can derail modernization initiatives and the scale of projects means it is often years before agencies experience the full benefits modernization can deliver.

In an environment where leaders know that modernization is critically important to mission success but face a myriad of challenges, how can agencies successfully navigate through the complex maze of technology, procurement, and workforce? How can they ensure cybersecurity, cloud migration, customer experience, identity management, and network infrastructure are all included as pillars of their modernization strategy?

During the Pillars of Modernization workshop, government and industry leaders will share concrete strategies for tackling the complexity of IT modernization based on their own experiences at key federal agencies.

Attendees will come away with an improved ability to:

  • Streamline modernization initiatives via an enterprise approach
  • Structure initiatives to keep project timelines and budgets in scope
  • Identify and leverage government-wide programs to support modernization initiatives
  • Embed multiple tech transformation needs within a single project
  • Pursue modernization within a constrained budget or workforce environment
