While in his first book, Desert Redleg, Lingamfelter recounted his experiences as an artillery officer for the 1st Infantry Division during the Gulf War, in this book—and in this discussion—he will share what it was like for a Soldier who was trained in combat arms to serve instead as a frontline military observer for a peacekeeping mission.
