NLIT Summit 2013

This year's National Laboratories Information Technology (NLIT) Summit, will take place at the Hilton Buffalo Thunder Hotel in Sante Fe, NM, May 13 through May 16, 2013.

The 2013 NLIT Summit brings together colleagues from across the US Department of Energy (DOE) complex to facilitate an exchange of information management (IM) best practices, strategy and methodology. Each year, the conference averages 300 to 350 attendees from the DOE Laboratories. This NLIT Summit will have the strongest participation from Los Alamos National Laboratory and Sandia National Laboratory.

Presentations and Sessions
The 2013 NLIT Summit will consist of presentations, panel discussions, new equipment and technology demonstrations, and information sharing on topics applicable to all DOE National Laboratories.

New for 2013: Deep Dive Day (3D)! Deep Dives are 90 minute presentations that delve deep into the subject areas.
New for 2013: Classified sessions! Session will help at LANL for "Q" cleared personnel.

Presentations will be provided by the numerous DOE Laboratories and Industry Sponsors. This information exchange helps strengthen the IM and provides cost efficiencies across the DOE National Laboratories by preventing the reinvention of solutions to similar problems. Sharing of new technologies across multiple IM disciplines fosters relationships that will be key in future research and application development. The success of the DOE mission relies on the ability to conduct research, share data, and collaborate with personnel from other laboratories.

Attendees
The past NLIT Summits have had participation from all the DOE Laboratories including the following personnel: IT Infrastructure Managers, IT Security Managers, IT Architects, Cyber Security Analysts, Program Managers, Unix Systems Administrators, Computer Systems Engineers, Network Engineers and Chief Information Officers.

There is no conference fee for DOE Personnel and U.S. Government employees. Industry may NOT attend unless participating as a Summit Sponsor.
