Speaker and Presenter Information

Angelina Martin is the owner of Online Media Solutions, a media agency that helps provide strategic social media solutions through education, training via onsite & remote assistance, and educational webinars for organizations. Angelina has previously worked as the finance/fiscal director for nonprofit organizations such as the Animal Legal Defense Fund and Women’s Recovery Services.

 

Angelina created her first Facebook page in 2012 to help a special-needs dog get adopted and left her career in finance to follow her heart through saving & improving the lives of animals through online marketing. Having a background in numbers has helped her develop innovative, successful social media strategies with highly successful results increasing visibility & reach to improve online reputations through social networking platforms.

 

In 2016, Angelina was awarded the first social media contract for Sonoma County Animal Care & Control increasing their Facebook page likes from 4K to 25K, engagement rate from 500 to 250K (average), 2.1M during disaster-related events, and contributed to increasing live animal release rate from 82% to 91%, saving thousands of animals' lives. From 2016 through 2020 Sonoma County went through 4 major disaster-related events. After working through so many disasters and emergencies, while being mentored by an experienced operations manager, she also successfully researched, designed, and implemented a successful disaster preparedness plan for the online community and their companion animals.

 

Angelina has created a series of educational webinars to help other animal shelters and animal response teams become more prepared for future emergency events. She was recently asked to speak at the annual CalAnimal Conference to talk about Building your Brand Online, including how to use social media during emergencies to promote animal reunification and to increase donations.

 

Angelina has also created an AI tool, to help train hotline operators before and during disasters and/or emergencies. Diving deep into AI technology, using her background in education and training, she’s now prepared to help others learn how to use AI tools in their professional and personal lives.


She is currently working as the communications director for Fire Safe Marin, located in Marin County, California.
