About Nellis AFB and AFCEA

The "Home of the Fighter Pilot," Nellis Air Force Base is home to the U.S. Air Force Warfare Center, the largest and most demanding advanced air combat training mission in the world. At Nellis, they provide training for composite strike forces which include every type of aircraft in the Air Force inventory. Training is conducted in conjunction with air and ground units of the Army, Navy, Marine Corps and Air Forces from our allied nations. The crews do not come to learn how to fly, but instead how to be the best combat aviators in the world.

The base is home to more squadrons than any other base in the Air Force. Everyone at Nellis, nearly 12,000 military and civilian personnel, plays a vital role in molding the world's best combat air forces. Major units and tenants include the USAF Warfare Center, 57th Wing, 98th Range Wing, 99th Air Base Wing, 53rd Test and Evaluation Group, 505th Operations Group, 926th Group (Air Force Reserve), USAF Air Warfare Battlelab, Joint Unmanned Aircraft System Center of Excellence and more.

The host for this expo will be the Armed Forces Communications Association (AFCEA) Las Vegas Chapter. AFCEA is a non-profit membership association serving the military, government, industry, and academia as an ethical forum for advancing professional knowledge and relationships in the fields of communications, IT, intelligence, and global security. AFCEA chapters and sub-chapters give engineers, programmers, managers, government officials and military personnel continuing opportunities to exchange ideas about communications, intelligence, imaging and information systems technologies. Nearly one-half of AFCEA’s chapters conduct symposia and seminars in addition to other chapter activities. AFCEA Las Vegas chapter members consist of Information Technology Officers' and personnel from Nellis AFB and Creech AFB.
