NDIA ITAR Webinar Series

The International Traffic In Arms Regulations (“ITAR”) provides strict regulation of defense industry firms.  Executives of many of these companies, especially small and medium-sized firms, are not sure about how ITAR applies to them and how to comply with the law.  The stakes are high – violations can result in significant civil and criminal penalties for companies and their employees.

This program will provide a practical overview of ITAR for defense industry executives.  It will address an overview of the law, explanation of the basic principles applicable to growing defense contractors and practical advice for compliance and reducing liability.  This will be invaluable for executives and principals of small and mid-sized companies and a valuable refresher for executives of larger companies.  It will be suitable for firms in the defense, government contracts, technical services, information technology, aerospace, military training and DOD-funded research and development fields.

The webinar will begin at 2pm eastern standard time. You will receive a link via email to join the webinar.

Topics covered will include:

• How do I know if my company is subject to ITAR?

• Company registration under the ITAR

• Application to technical data and software
