Health IT Summit 2025

The ongoing journey to transform the U.S. public healthcare system into one that delivers quality care, world-class outcomes, and enhanced patient experiences continues to evolve. now more than ever, Health IT is integral to public health and how healthcare is delivered, managed, and how the health of populations and communities is tracked.

The draft 2024-2030 Federal Health IT Strategic Plan addresses the need to continue to advance the nation's public health data infrastructure, while making sure that it is benefitting the communities that need it most. This plan focuses on improving access to health data, delivering equitable healthcare experiences, and modernizing public health data infrastructure. How can citizens gain better health outcomes and how can a coordinated IT strategy enable it?

Artificial intelligence (AI) and other cutting-edge technologies are revolutionizing healthcare delivery, research, and patient outcomes. From predictive analytics to personalized medicine, AI is unlocking new possibilities. By integrating disparate data sources and employing advanced data management techniques, AI ensures that healthcare providers have access to real-time, accurate, and comprehensive data. As health data becomes increasingly digitized, the importance of robust cybersecurity measures cannot be overstated. AI-driven cybersecurity solutions are essential in protecting sensitive patient information from cyber threats. These solutions can detect and respond to anomalies in real-time, ensuring the integrity and confidentiality of health data.

AI is transforming the patient experience by enabling more personalized and efficient care. Through AI-powered chatbots, virtual assistants, and predictive analytics, healthcare providers can offer tailored support and proactive care management. This not only improves patient satisfaction but also fosters a more engaging and responsive healthcare environment.

Meanwhile, research advancements from genomics to clinical trials continue to impact health outcomes, practice, and policy. To further these and other advancements, federal health leaders are thinking outside the box with the launch of the Advanced Research Projects Agency for Health (ARPA-H), a game-changing agency reshaping health innovation. How can government agencies push boundaries, foster creativity, and drive transformative change?

The patient-care, provider, payor, research and regulatory entitites are all undergoing a transformative journey at a historically unprecedented pace, while working through and managing risks. By strengthening collaboration between public, private, and academic sectors, we can drive innovation, improve patient care, and enhance population health. But are we moving as swiftly as we can? We need to critically assess the pace of adoption for new technologies and policies. How can we accelerate progress while ensuring equitable access?

Join us at the Health IT Summit as we chart the course toward a healthier, more connected future.
