Buckley Air Force Base



The Buckley Air Force Base Exposition is a one-day event held on-site, where industry vendors will have the opportunity to display their products and services to personnel on base that may otherwise be unattainable. FBC and the 460th Communications Squadron, event host, will work together to invite IT personnel from all major units and tenants at Buckley AFB. There will also be a base-wide email sent inviting all base personnel to the expo.

Some of the past attendees include: Systems Engineers, Network Managers, IT Specialists, Computer Specialists and personnel from: 460th MSG, 460th SCS, Air Force Space Command Det. 3, CDC, NAVIOCOM, SATCOM, and others.

About Buckley
Buckley AFB is home to more than 10,000 men and women who proudly guard our nation's high frontier by delivering global infrared surveillance, tracking, and missile warning for theater and homeland defense and provide combatant commanders with expeditionary warrior Airmen. Buckley is home to more than 37 other units representing every branch of service and components - Active Duty, National Guard and Reserve.

The 460th Space Communications Squadron operates/maintains $1 billion in communication-computer systems with 345 personnel to service over 2,800 users in support of Defense Support Program (DSP), Space-Based Infrared System (SBIRS), 460th Space Wing and its 37 tenants. They manage local area networks, communication security accounting, information assurance and air traffic control/landing systems. Additionally, they are responsible for info management, frequency management, multimedia and communications resource planning.

The largest employer and tenant at Buckley is the Aerospace Data Facility. The Aerospace Data Facility-Colorado is a multi-mission ground station responsible for supporting worldwide defense operations and multi-agency collection, analysis, reporting, and dissemination of intelligence information. It provides data to defense, intelligence, and civil agencies supporting the U.S. Government and its Allies.

The mission of the 460th Space Wing is to provide combatant commanders with expeditionary warrior Airmen and deliver global infrared surveillance, tracking and missile warning for theater and homeland defense. Its vision is total vigilance, warrior culture and strong community.

Other major units at Buckley include the 566th Intelligence Squadron, Joint Force Headquarters - Colorado, 140th Wing, Colorado Army National Guard, and the 743rd Military Intelligence Battalion.
